To start our new Women in Business year off we are holding a Networking Dinner at the Chapter Arms where we will have exclusive use of the restaurant. A relaxing evening offering a chance to end the day with a 3 course meal including coffee/tea. The cost for 3 courses including a hot drink is £18 (this also includes a small tip). To secure your place Diana must receive your booking, menu choice & payment by 15th September.

Griselda Mussett who will be running this workshop on the art of public speaking has worked at the BBC as a producer and reporter for radio and TV says “that people often fear they are going to be humiliated or exposed when they stand up to speak, but it need not be frightening - it's mostly a matter of knowing what you want to say and then saying it!” Griselda will show us how to prepare, how to organise your thoughts, how to stand, how best to use your voice and your body in speaking, how to handle questions, and how to allow yourself to enjoy the process of speaking in public. Funnily enough, little children are naturals at this, so why not rediscover your own inner speaker?

Jane Wallace from House of Colour will be showing you how to build a capsule wardrobe (less clothes more outfits!) to suit your general lifestyle and as our minds turn to Spring how you can pack for a weekend away in an overnight cabin bag – you won’t believe your eyes. To end the session she will be giving you tips on how to use accessories to create a positive impact.
