Trek South Africa - An Intrepid Traveller....
One of our members, Julie Pierce, is taking part in Trek South Africa a Breast Cancer Care challenge from 31st October to 9th November 2008. She will be walking up to 8 hours per day for 6 consecutive days to raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause.
Julie told us at the last meeting how her family has been affected by breast cancer , as have lots of us at some time which is why she has taken the challenge.
Quote from Julie 'I have been very active building up my walking I am doing some form of exercise each day. Yesterday I did a long walk 4hrs, only one small blister!'
